Double-Diploma Master Programmes in Serbia


This post will be dedicated to different Master Programmes delivered by the Public Universities from Serbia, or by the Serbian Public Universities that are in cooperation with renowned International Universities. These programmes might be especially attractive to all foreign students due to the fact that most of the master programmes listed below offer them possibility to earn dual diploma – Serbian National Accredited Diploma and International Foreign Diploma.

 

International Business and Management 

Faculty of Organisational Sciences (University of Belgrade) in cooperation with Middlesex University from London

Faculty of Organisational Sciences (University of Belgrade) formed a partnership with Middlesex University from London and offers domestic as well as foreign candidates opportunity to earn degree and to be awarded dual diploma in the field of International Business and Management. This programme offers students possibility to learn and better understand principles and activities of international business in contemporary business environment. International Business and Management Programme is accredited by the National Accreditation Commission of the Republic of Serbia.

The programme is consisted of 3 semesters and lasts 18 months. There are four compulsory and 2 optional taught modules that students are obliged to attend. Apart from that, students are also obliged to attend lectures and workshops in the third semester that are related to dissertation completion. All lectures are in English Language and delivered by the prominent professors and collaborators from Faculty of Organisational Sciences as well as guest lecturers from Middlesex University from London.

Master in Quantitative Finance (IMQF)

Faculty of Economics (University of Belgrade) in cooperation with South European Center for Contemporary Finance

Faculty of Economics (University of Belgrade) is in cooperation with the South European Center for Contemporary Finance, and they offer International Master Programme in Quantitative Finance. This programme is designed for candidates that are willing to prepare themselves for highly successful professional career and to become economic and financial experts.  IMQF Programme provides students with not only outstanding knowledge and expertise, but also necessary skills and practices that can help them to tackle with arising challenging problems. Apart from that, this programme also prepares students for globally recognized exams such as CFA, or risk management exams such as FRM and PRM.

The program lasts 12 months and all lectures are in English Language. Programme is taught by the leading professors and financial experts from Serbia usually in the evening sessions and during the weekends, which is especially beneficial for those who are employed. IMQF is accredited by the National Accreditation Commission of the Republic of Serbia and highly appreciated and recognized in the Europe and worldwide.

Belgrade Graduate Business Programme (BGBP)

Faculty of Economics (University of Belgrade) in cooperation with Texas A&M University Commerce

Belgrade Graduate Business Programme (BGBP) is a MBA programme developed jointly by experts from Texas A&M University Commerce and Faculty of Economics of University of Belgrade. This programme aims primarily at offering high quality education in business administration in Serbia and Europe by providing students with deep understanding of both international and local business practices and environment.  BGBP is accredited by the International Association for Management Education (AACSB).

Belgrade Graduate Business Programme lasts 12 months and is consisted of 10 modules. All lectures are held at Faculty of Economics in Belgrade and delivered in English Language. Classes are usually held in the afternoon or evening hours, or during the weekends.

Master in European Integration

Faculty of Law (University of Belgrade) in cooperation with the Consortium Members from the European Union

Post-Graduate Studies on European Integration – POGESTEI is a Master Programme in European Integration that has been launched as a result of the TEMPUS JEP Project. Faculty of Law (University of Belgrade) actually formed alliance with the consortium members from the European Union including: Faculties of Laws from Maribor - Slovenia, Frankfurt – Germany, Como – Italy, Salzburg – Austria, Faculty of Political Science from Trieste – Italy and Institutes for Ethnic, Regional and Sociological Studies ICERS and ISCOMET from Slovenia.

The programme lasts 30 weeks. All lectures are taught in English Language by renowned academics form the Faculty of Law in Belgrade and by the prestigious guest professors From the European Union Consortium Faculties.

Master in Business Administration (MBA)

Megatrend University form Belgrade in cooperation with Franklin University from USA

Master in Business Administration (MBA) at Megatrend University in Belgrade has been developed in cooperation with renowned and highly ranked American University Franklin that has long lasting tradition of more than 110 years of existence. MBA Programme is organized in an interactive way since it is delivered to small groups of students. 

All lectures are in English Language and lecturers are leading American professors from Franklin University. The program usually starts in February every year and last 16 months. After finishing this MBA Programme, students will be awarded Franklin University diploma that is highly recognized and appreciated worldwide.

Master in Business Administration (MBA)

Faculty of Technical Sciences (University of Novi Sad) in cooperation with United Business Institutes from Brussels

Faculty of Technical Sciences from Novi Sad FTN- IIM/EURO formed partnership with United Business Institutes from Brussels and created high-quality international postgraduate programme – Master in Business Administration. This MBA programme is oriented primarily at Engineering and Management and aims at helping students to develop their analytical skills and to improve their knowledge in order to understanding different theoretical models and concepts of international business.

The duration of programme is one year and all lectures are taught in English Language. After finishing this MBA Programme, students will be awarded joint-degree from University of Novi Sad and United Business Institutes from Brussels.

Types and Levels of Studies in Serbia



Types and Levels of Studies in Serbia 



In Serbia there exist two types of accredited study programmes among which candidates can chose in order to acquire higher education. These two are: 
  1.       Academic Study Programmes 
  2.       Professional Study Programmes

Academic Study Programmes provide students with the opportunity to develop necessary skills and apply gained knowledge in order to achieve scientific, professional or artistic success.
Professional Study Programmes offer students chance to boost their professional career by preparing them to apply gained knowledge and employ learned skills necessary for the further work process.



There are three levels of studies, each of which includes the following courses:



               First level studies (I)

    •         Undergraduate Academic Studies (180 – 240 ECTS points) 
    •         Undergraduate Professional Studies (180 ECTS points)

               Second level studies (II)

    •         Master Academic Studies (60 – 120 ECTS points) 
    •         Specialised Academic Studies (at least 60 ECTS points) 
    •         Specialised Professional Studies (at least 60 ECTS points)

        Third level studies (III) 

    •         Doctoral Academic studies( at least 180 ECTS points)



According to National Council (and upon recommendation from the Conference of Universities and the Conference of Academies of Professional Career Studies), in Serbia there are five educational-scientific, professional and artistic fields:
 
  •         Natural Sciences and Mathematics
  •         Social Sciences and Humanities
  •         Technology and Engineering
  •         Medical Sciences
  •         Arts
